Dave Ellington


A professional musician for nearly 20 years, Dave Ellington studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston before he began his touring career with "Wolfman" Washington in 1987. He also studied under Ellis Marsalis at UNO and has won a number of awards, including the University of New Orleans' prestigious composer's award. A major presence on the New Orleans' jazz scene, Dave was the band leader of the auspicious Latin-Jazz group "Chevere". David is currently performing in Atlanta as leader of the "Three's a Crowd Organ Quartet". and sideman of several groups including "The Electromatics", "The League of Decency", "Nick Longo Combo", and "The Clarence Johnson Quartet". He also teaches private lessons on piano, organ and guitar at his East Atlanta Studio.
