Adventures with Classic Children's Tales! | Caroline Herring

Watch reading come alive with Caroline Herring, an Atlanta singer/ songwriter who has been featured on A Prairie Home Companion and NPR. Herring has developed a unique and wonderful show based on classic children’s books, including The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton and The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. Along with multi-instrumentalist Marla Feeney and Altanta jazz guitar icon Charles Williams, Herring will take audiences on a unique storytelling adventure! Enjoy this original performance of story, song, and illustration which the Atlanta Journal Constitution called “a smart and creative undertaking… something special!”

Caroline Herring
Caroline Herring digs deep—deep into the rich soil of American roots music for her sound. Herring has worked on a national and international scale for years as an award-winning singer and songwriter. Her first album, Twilight, garnered for her the 2002 Best New Artist award at the Austin Music Awards. Her second album, Wellspring, includes the song “Mistress,” which was recently named by the Atlanta Journal Constitution as one of the 100 greatest songs about the South. Her following album Lantana was one of NPR’s Top 10 Folk Albums in 2008, and perhaps her 2009 Golden Apples of the Sun received the most praise, including a feature on A Prairie Home Companion and an interview on NPR's All Things Considered. Herring has played such prestigious festivals as MerleFest, the Newport Folk Festival, and the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
