And Then They Came For Me  |  Georgia Ensemble Theatre

Available Feb. 13 - Mar. 30, 2012

Part oral history, part remembrance, James Still’s play takes place in Amsterdam following the Nazi invasion of Holland. Based on the book Eva’s Story by Eva Geringer Schloss this unique multi-media production lasts for 70 minutes (including a Q & A session with the actors). This powerful play teaches students about the hidden children of the Holocaust. Eva Geringer Schloss and Ed Silverberg, two Holocaust survivors and childhood friends of Anne Frank, share their story on video, while professional actors reenact their incredible experiences as teenagers in hiding and in concentration camps during WWII.

Students walk away with a fresh, new perspective on this time in history. And Then They Came for Me is an unforgettable story that calls on every individual to acknowledge the past and learn from it, being careful to never let it repeat itself.
