Primary Printmaking Residency  |  Pamela Beagle-Daresta

Each student will produce a print of his/her own using safe, age-appropriate printmaking techniques from their original drawn image based on science or social studies curriculum. For example, the students Styrofoam etching prints may represent animal/plant classi cations. A collaborative print can incorporate all student-made prints, creating large format pieces for permanent display in the school as well as individual prints for students to keep. Students will conduct research and concept drawings, create printing plates from concept drawings, and pull individual and collaborative prints for permanent display. Students will also learn that the stages of printmaking are similar to the scientific method process.
