A statue that talks, a yo-yo that whistles and a juggler that raps all take part in this comic character education program. Ron uses physical and vocal acrobatics, a Japanese kendama, soap bubbles, three props from China, music from Mali, a unicycle and plenty of volunteer club-passers to teach the Golden Rule and more. It’s a perfect tie-in to Red Ribbon Week activities.
Ron Anglin: Quite a Catch
Ron Anglin, who lives in rural Molena, GA, once used juggling to help teach his high school classes and to improve his soccer and wrestling teams. He now uses a wide variety of props and skills to teach science, character education, and the importance of reading to all grades. He currently works for the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and for Cirque du Monde, the outreach program of Cirque du Soleil.
Ron has performed over 4200 times since 1999. He also works for Dakota Assemblies and National School Assemblies (24 states so far!) and will do a Midwest tour for them in 2011. His mission is to reach as many kids as possible and challenge them to try new things and develop a balanced brain!
