Sacajawea invites students to join her on the listening blanket to hear how she became a translator and guide for the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery. Mother, teacher, nature lover and the subject of more sculptures and art works than any other woman to date, Sacajawea was a woman far ahead of her time. Students will be fascinated by the Native American customs, culture and values which produced this woman of uncommon intelligence, courage and character.
