The Everyday Life of Dance  |  Emily Yewell Volin

A breathtaking display of ballet and innovative choreography will inspire students as they learn about the ideas and experiences that influence the creation of dance in all its many forms. The Everyday Life of Dance, choreographed by Emily Yewell Volin, is an assembly program with virtuosic performances in classical ballet, structured improvisation, jazz and contemporary dance.  Students become choreographers as the cast guides them toward noticing how everyday movements, experiences and poetry inspire choreographic expression.
