Ron stuffs a whole lot of science—and juggling razzle dazzle—into just 40 minutes! He demystifies potentially intimidating science concepts such as motion, vibration, magnetic force and gravity with an array of unusual props: shaker cups, devil-sticks, didgeridoos, a cracking whip and the whistling diabolo. Students will be invited to inspect Ron’s juggling boxes for hidden tricks and to create a “living rainbow” in the “Big Toss-Up” finale.
Ron Anglin: Quite a Catch
Ron Anglin, who lives in rural Molena, GA, once used juggling to help teach his high school classes and to improve his soccer and wrestling teams. He now uses a wide variety of props and skills to teach science, character education, and the importance of reading to all grades. He currently works for the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and for Cirque du Monde, the outreach program of Cirque du Soleil.
Ron has performed over 4200 times since 1999. He also works for Dakota Assemblies and National School Assemblies (24 states so far!) and will do a Midwest tour for them in 2011. His mission is to reach as many kids as possible and challenge them to try new things and develop a balanced brain!
