Artists in Schools

Manga African DanceAs school arts budgets are being cut left and right, Young Audiences offers educators an affordable alternative to field trips – our highly trained, profressional artists go into schools and community organizations to deliver quality arts experiences to students.

In other words, we make school house calls.

Our current roster of more than 65 professional artists and ensembles offers a variety of programs to choose from and covers all the major art disciplines: music, dance, theatre, literary and visual arts. And, the good news is that once you divide the cost of a Young Audiences program by the recommended number of participating students, it costs about $1 - $2 per child.

We know that sustained contact with high-quality arts experiences, professional artists and the process of creative thinking is critical to the overall development of students. That’s why our mission for the past 25 years has been to transform the lives and learning of young people through the arts.
