The program opens with a man who seems to be Benjamin Franklin, but he is setting the stage and doing acting and voice exercises. Suddenly, he recites a monologue of the accomplishments of Benjamin Franklin. We learn that this is none other than Benjamin Franklin Macdougal, a member of a family that has dedicated itself to impersonating Benjamin Franklin and acting for SEVEN GENERATIONS. Students learn of the life of Franklin and the art of character building through acting, directing, discussion, and question and answers. The program ends with the Benjamin Franklin Macdougal portraying Dr. Franklin in three famous monologues.
