How does a group of musicians, each playing distinct parts of the same piece but on different instruments, manage to produce a single exquisite sound? Teamwork! Three gifted players demonstrate how musicians perform their individual best while staying tuned in to what the other ensemble members are doing. As students listen to works by Schubert, Brahms, Albeniz and Strauss, they will discover that the same values that drive a winning sports franchise—taking turns, being both leader and follower, listening to others—hold just as true when it comes to making beautiful music.
