Following an assembly performance, Lisa will teach students the basics of classical and folk Chinese dance in a dance class format. They will learn fundamental dance movements and characteristics of Chinese dance as well as its role and interpretations in the context of Chinese art, language and culture.

Lisa Chyn brings national and international audiences the beauty and richness of classical Chinese dance at its most resplendent.
Founded in 1983 by Director Lisa Chyn, the Lisa Chyn An Fong Dance Company has performed at major events and venues such as the Opening & Closing Ceremonies of the Centennial Olympic Games and galas benefiting the United Nations Children's Fund.
For more than 20 years, Lisa Chyn has taught Chinese dance to children, youth, and adults throughout the country. She has also held teaching positions such as Resident Artist/Instructor of Chinese Dance at the Trinity School and Dance Specialist/Lecturer of Chinese Classical & Folk Dance at the Dance Department of Emory University.
