While students find juggling challenging and exciting, Ron knows it builds muscle memory which helps them grasp and retain complicated scientific concepts such as Newton’s three laws of motion, air resistance and potential and kinetic energy. Students not only will amaze their teachers with feats of coordination and balance, they’ll be able to explain the laws of physics behind them. Ron has used multiple modalities to reach students in his own classroom and hundreds of others. He’s convinced it’s the best way to teach and the best way for children to learn.
Ron Anglin: Quite a Catch
Ron Anglin, who lives in rural Molena, GA, once used juggling to help teach his high school classes and to improve his soccer and wrestling teams. He now uses a wide variety of props and skills to teach science, character education, and the importance of reading to all grades. He currently works for the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and for Cirque du Monde, the outreach program of Cirque du Soleil.
Ron has performed over 4200 times since 1999. He also works for Dakota Assemblies and National School Assemblies (24 states so far!) and will do a Midwest tour for them in 2011. His mission is to reach as many kids as possible and challenge them to try new things and develop a balanced brain!
