The Dave Ellington Trio takes the winter holidays to another level with jazz renditions of yuletide classics. Younger audiences will delighted by the musicians ability to take well known songs like Frosty the Snowman, Let it Snow, Carol of the Bells and more all with an authentically jazz spin on them.
Dave Ellington
A professional musician for 20 years, Dave Ellington studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston before he began his touring career with "Wolfman" Washington in 1987.
He also studied under Ellis Marsalis at University of New Orleans (UNO) and has won a number of awards, including UNO's prestigious composer's award. A major presence on the New Orleans' jazz scene, Dave was the band leader of the auspicious Latin-Jazz group "Chevere".
David is currently performing in Atlanta as leader of the "Three's a Crowd Organ Quartet" and side-man of several groups including, "The Electromatics", "The League of Decency", "Nick Longo Combo", and "The Clarence Johnson Quartet". He also teaches private lessons on piano, organ, and guitar at his East Atlanta Studio.
