So You Want to Be a Hero Americas Rip Roaring Tall Tales  |  Cathy Kaemmerlen

The escapades of three of America’s greatest tall tale heroes get a fresh retelling from the viewpoint of their fictitious wives: Sally Ann Thunder Ann Crockett (wife of Davy Crockett, who tamed the hills of Tennessee), Fanny Feboldson (wife of Febold Feboldson, the inventing-est farmer to ever hit the Midwest) and Slue Foot Sue (wife of Pecos Bill, the Wild West’s greatest cowboy). There’s lots of rip-roaring fun in this behind-the-scenes look at these larger-than-life figures whose strength, inventiveness and heart define America’s spirit.
