The Queen Who Loves to Read  |  Kathy Bennett

Children will light up when Queen Glitter enters, dressed in her royal finery, ready to share some of her favorite books and stories with her eager “subjects.” In minutes, students will be swept up in the magic of her captivating and participatory tales. With a wave of her wand, a sprinkling of glitter and a magic trick or two, she imparts the importance—and fun—of reading. And, before she returns to her kingdom, she extracts a promise from her audience to “read LOTS of books.”

Kathy Bennett

Kathy Bennett is an entertaining and energetic storyteller.

She is a member of the Southern Order of Storytellers and has been telling stories professionally for 15 years.  She regularly performs for ages 3-7 in pre-schools, elementary schools and libraries.

When Kathy is not traveling the state dressed as Queen Glitter, she can be found at the St. Anne's Day School in Atlanta dressed as Mrs. Bennett, the school librarian.

As Queen Glitter, she creates memories and teaches children to love books, just the way she does.
